Crash Team/Impaired Driver/Drug 

Interdiction. The funding for the fatal crash 

team-provides payment for officers with 

specialized training who respond to fatal 

crashes or potentially fatal crashes. These 

crashes are treated as crime scenes to 

investigate for any criminal behavior such as 

illegal use of drugs or alcohol.

Impaired Driver Project will continue to fund 

extra patrols by SC officers who attempt to 

locate and apprehend drivers who are 

impaired by drugs or alcohol.

Drug Interdiction Project will fund SC officers 

who conduct specializes patrols for illegal 

drug possessions and shipments.
